About Liberty Lodge

Liberty Lodge meets regularly once a month, on the first Thursday of every month. We meet additionally at other times as business or events warrant.

Liberty Lodge has several purposes, as does Masonry in general. Among these are:

  • Fellowship with other men of good character
  • Meeting people from all walks of life, from your community
  • Self improvement, as further explained below
  • Charity, which will be detailed further
  • Making a difference in our community and society
  • Learning about and perpetuating a history and fraternity that is hundreds of years old

Liberty Lodge has been involved in numerous charitable projects over the years, with many of these efforts continuing annually

  • Support for the Masonic Home for Children at Oxford, NC, which has been housing and caring for children in need since 1870
  • Sponsor a boys’ baseball and a girls’ softball team in the Wilkes County recreational leagues. We not only supply uniforms, equipment, and entry fees, but also host an annual cookout for the players, coaches and their families, complete with rides and food.
  • Sponsor Christmas for some of the children at the Barium Springs Home for Children, in Statesville, NC
  • Provide a safe Trick or Treat environment on Halloween for 400-500 children in our community
  • Provide charity for local needy individuals and families, on an exceptional, case-by-case basis
  • Provide charity for our own infirmed or needy members and their families
  • Support for WhiteStone, a retirement community in Greensboro, NC

Members in Liberty Lodge have several avenues for self-improvement
